    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Actual air temperature will be below zero each night through Sunday morning. The prolonged cold could cause pipes to freeze or burst. Daytime high temperatures will climb above zero with afternoon highs of 5 to 15 degrees above zero.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Seneca County Chamber Adds New Employee

(Waterloo, NY) – The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Samantha Goodman has joined the organization as Director of Communications & Digital Media.

Samantha is from Phelps, NY and holds an associate degree in creative writing from Finger Lakes Community College as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Rhetoric with a minor in Sociology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She most recently worked as a reporter and content creator for Fingerlakes1.com, LLC.

In her role with the Seneca County Chamber, Samantha will work to create engaging content that showcases the organization and its diverse partners. She will serve as publisher/editor of DiscoverSeneca.com and manage the Chamber’s social media accounts to help inspire others and position the Seneca County community as a leading destination in which to live, work and visit. Samantha will also coordinate the Chamber’s public relations efforts, manage its brand integrity, and cultivate relationships with both local media and the community.

“In addition to her impressive skillset and professional experience, Samantha has a genuine passion for the Finger Lakes area,” said Chamber President Jeff Shipley. “We are excited to add her to our team and look forward to utilizing her talents to help promote our diverse Chamber community.”
